Senior Pastor Earnest Claiborn is an anointed young man of great wisdom and power from God. Pastor Claiborn has been preaching the Word of God since 1/17/92. Pastor Claiborn has a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies from Logos Bible College, a Masters Degree in Theology, recently graduated with a 2nd Masters in Pastoral Ministry, and is pursuing a Doctorate of Divinity Degree. He has been married to Dr. Hazel Claiborn, since 12/10/88. They have 1 daughter (Porshia) and 3 sons (Alex, Cord, and Cemeon). Pastor Claiborn gave his life to God on 1/1/85. At age 15, he was baptized in the name of Jesus, filled with the Holy Ghost, and given the gift of speaking in other tongues. He founded the Potters House of Jesus Christ and the doors were open on September 17th 2000 at 12:30 p.m.
Pastor Claiborn accepted Gods call into the ministry in January 1992. He became a full-time national evangelist. He has ministered the Word of God at numerous churches around the country and at: -Conferences -State conventions -District Councils -Seminars -Street and Tent Services -Crusades and Revivals -Nursing Homes -Parks -Prisons In 1994, Pastor Claiborn successfully completed the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Ministerial Course and Training at Aenon Bible College, and became a Licensed Elder of the P.A.W., Inc. In addition, after nearly 4 years of Work and Studies, in May 2008, he became a Certified Behavioral Counselor from the International Academy of Behavioral Sciences. He successfully completed the Personality Behavior Course, many Case Studies, Testing, and the Final Exam. And, recently graduated from Logos Bible College with his 2nd Masters Degree! The Man of God moved to Minnesota from Greenwood, MS where he was employed as a correctional officer at the Mississippi State Prison for nearly 9 years; most of which was on Death Row. He served faithfully under the ministry of Bishop Earnest J. Miller, Pastor and founder of Greater Bethel Apostolic Temple (currently Greater Harvest Fellowship Center) of Greenwood, MS. Dr. Hazel Claiborn, from Greenwood, MS, is the second of eight children born to Maggie M. Griffin. In May 1986 she graduated from Greenwood High School, then she enrolled in Alcorn State University for two years where she majored in Political Science as she had planned to be a corporate law attorney. Those dreams were drastically changed as she came home from College one Christmas Holiday and was witnessed to by her stepfather who had recently been baptized in Jesus name and Filled with the Holy spirit and was speaking in tongues. This was all new to Hazel as she grew up in a Baptist church and had not so much heard whether there was a Holy Ghost or not. Out of pure curiosity she went to Greater Bethel Apostolic Temple where her stepfather had taken membership. The Holy Ghost got a hold of her during the Word and she too went down in Jesus Name and was filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. From that moment her true destiny began. A member of Greater Bethel Apostolic Temple for 15 years, Hazel worked faithfully in these ministries: -Bible School Teacher(Pre-K, Young Adults, & Adult class) -Women Chairlady for many years -Church Announcer -Pastor Secretary -Radio Announcer -Radio Bible Teacher -President of Fisher?s of Men -Nursing Home ministry Leader -Vacation Bible School Director -Altar worker -Van Driver -Church Beautification Committee -Minister -Governing Board member and many others.
She met Earnest Claiborn in the church. They became Christian friends immediately, spending all their leisure time praying, fasting, reading the Word and falling deeper in Love with God. Within a year after meeting, Earnest and Hazel were married. Hazel later enrolled in Logos Bible College & Graduate school. Over seven years she received the following Degrees: -Bachelor of Arts (Christian Education) -Master of Arts (Christian Counseling) -Doctor of Divinity
Earnest and Hazel have four blessed and destined children: (Porshia 24 yrs old Alix 21yrs, Cord 19yrs, & Cemeon 15 yrs old & one granddaughter Alexia 9mos old, one grandson Sentrell 3 yrs old. Earnest and Hazel founded the Potters House of Jesus Christ in September 2000. Hazel has gained clinical skills in Counseling from Cigna Behavioral Health, Greater Harvest Worship Center, & presently the Potters House of Jesus Christ serving as the Senior Personal Advocate for the Ministry.
Chief Associate Pastor Magalenn Cotton is the youngest of four siblings. She is married to Deacon Harold Cotton. They have four adult children (Deolandzo, Harold Lamar, Amanda and Phyllis) and two grandsons, Jaden and Emmanuel,as well as two god-daughters, Schania and Ayanna. She is a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She has been teaching for over 20 years. Serving as the President of the Evangelism Ministry, she is an integral part of the growth of PHOJC. In her role as CAP, she serves as the Associate Minister under Pastor Earnest Claiborn.
Evangelist Cotton got saved at the age of 14. She is an ordained Minister, a youth leader, and an Under Shepherd for her Pastor in Mississippi, Bishop R.L. Lawson. While a member of Greater St. Paul COGIC, she was the Purity Class Leader, and served on the Missionary board.
Associate Pastor Wanda Tate has been saved and Holy Ghost filled for over 20 years. She has been a member of the PHOJC since 2001 and has a great love for the church. She is a faithful servant. She serves as the: -PHOJC Women Ministry Chairlady -Mass Choir President -Ministrial Staff Member -Governing Board Member -Bible School Teacher -Evangelism Department -Altar Worker -Praise Team Member She is a graduate of Davenport College where she earned an Associate degree in CPA/Business Management. She is a mother of two children, Darrell and Schania. She has been employed with Wells Fargo over 20 years and currently works as an Accounting Representative. In a recent sermon, Evangelist Tate preached about how Jesus died so that we can choose life and the wonders that God blesses us with, over death and the things the world has to offer.
