To prepare people for Heaven, we start with the following... Acts 2:38, which says, "Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized, every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
We baptize in the Name of Jesus, because it gives the Holy Spirit the invitation needed to begin the transformation of a person from living by the selfish, sinful nature, to living by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and working to become a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led, Spirit-speaking, mature Christian that remains faithful to God regardless of the circumstances; always tells the truth no matter the consequences; and looks for Heavenly answers to Earthly problems.
To live successful lives we lead by example, and teach others to do the same. We focus on both the Spiritual and Natural side of life.We minister to the needs of the whole man. While we are on Earth living Holy and Obeying God to make it to Heaven, the benefit is that we can enjoy the natural and material things that God created for us, the Saints of God.
Matt. 6:33 says if we seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness and all these things would be added to us.
We teach people that when we live for God and Obey Him we can't help but be Blessed in our finances, in our careers, in our family, in our home, on the job, in our bodies being healthy, in every area of our lives. Isaiah 1:19 says it well, "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land;"
And,...Deuteronomy 28:1-14 outlines this truth as well. We also teach and train our youth to grow up and be real husbands/fathers and real wives/mothers. We want every home and every family to be Holy, Blessed, and living successful lives.
At the Potter's House of Jesus Christ we believe in God, Jesus Christ as Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. Here are the Seven Biblical Principles that we hold to: 1. WE BELIEVE The Bible is the infallible Word of God written by Holy men as the Holy Ghost inspired them to write.
II Peter 1:20. 2. WE BELIEVE You must repent and be baptized in water by immersion in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the remission (removal) of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. This is the New Birth Experience.
Acts 1:8 and Acts 2:38. 3. WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. We believe in the virgin birth; that Jesus was born both human and divine. God manifested in the flesh.
Matthew 1:21, 1st Timothy 3:16. 4. WE BELIEVE In the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that He ascended on High and has sent his Spirit, the Holy Ghost, which was poured out at Jerusalem over 2000 years ago and we believe that it is still filling the hearts of believers on today!
Luke 24:46-49, Acts Chapter 2 5. WE BELIEVE In a Holy, Sanctified life, Divine Healing, Laying On Hands, Working of Miracles in Jesus Name and we believe in the glorious catching away (Rapture) of the saints when Jesus returns in the clouds of glory to take His people to Heaven.
Luke 10:19; 1st Thess. 4:16-17. 6. WE BELIEVE That in Jesus Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Colossians 2:9. 7. WE BELIEVE In remembering the sufferings of Jesus Christ through Holy Communion through drinking of the blood (non-alcohol) and eating of the body (bread) of Jesus. 1 Cor. 11:23-26.
"Then Peter said unto them, repent and be baptized every one of you in the Name Of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12
Receiving the free gift of Salvation from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ means that you want be saved. Saved from what? From the penalty of sin and death that everyone who is not saved will suffer. Getting saved and joining a church doesn't just mean that you now have some place to say you go every Sunday. Or, that you now have a group of people that you can worship with, learn with, laugh with, cry with, attend functions with, raise your kids with, and trust, etc. you can get these things just about anywhere. Getting saved means something more important than all of these things combined. The primary reason you get saved is to know that you are now a part of God's family. And that is the first step to having access to God, other members of His family, and every one of His promises, His protection, and His provision. The commitment to salvation takes surrender, sacrifice, repentance, and a host of things that you will begin to discover and learn about. Becoming a part of God's family and the commitment to get saved and live saved means everything in your life. It is the most important decision you will ever make. It is both life-changing and life-altering, and here's a little information on why. When you get saved:
-People still lost in the world will no longer treat you the same.
-You will have to sacrifice being around certain types of people.
-Your flesh will fight against every decision you make for God.
These things are normal for new Christians. But stay in church and stay committed to coming regularly so you can get stronger. God bless you in your decision to be saved! When you are ready, Please Reach out to us.
